London Olympics bronze medallist and now world No. 1 ranked ITU female triathlete, Erin Densham is confirmed as competing in the Gulf Western Oil Nepean Triathlon.
Densham, who is currently in the United States, is excited to come back to Australia to race in her home state of NSW and keen to help promote the sport of triathlon to the next generation of triathletes.
Also confirmed in the men’s event is fellow London Olympian Brendan Sexton. Sexton, who won Nepean in 2011 is coming back in an attempt to win his second title. “I love the guys verses gals handicap concept. Last years photo finish between Courtney Atkinson and Denmark Olympian Rachel Klamer was one of the most exciting finishes I have seen in the sport. Hopefully this year’s finish will be just as close!”
These two current race favourites will headline what is shaping up as the best triathlon field assembled in the country. Entries are filling fast, so enter now to be part of the action!
