John Maclean to complete the Nepean Triathlon
April 14, 2014Posted by on
As featured on 60 Minutes, John Maclean, who became a paraplegic whilst training for the Nepean Triathlon 26 years ago, is responding to treatment that is enabling him to take steps and walk again. John’s next challenge is to complete the Atmosphere 2014 Nepean triathlon, as a individual competitor.
Competitors and supporters of John and the John Maclean Foundation (JMF) can now race beside John as we are are hosting a JMF wave which will start after the last age group wave of the current program.
The aim of this wave is for competitors to participate together with John. Swim, ride and run/walk, encouraging John to the finish line. If you would like to race with John just select JMF Wave when entering online.
Competitors in this wave will not be eligible for age group awards and as a result of road closure restrictions must be able to swim 1km and ride 30km in 2hrs or less.
You can assist young Aussies in Wheelchairs by starting your own fund raising page or donate at www.jmf.com.au
