Two time winner Aaron Royle is going for his hat-trick of wins in this years Atmosphere Nepean Triathlon.
Having won in 2013 and again in 2014 quite convincingly Aaron would be the odds on favourite leading in to this years event. Although with $76,500 worth of prizemoney up for grabs there are sure to be plenty of elite triathletes looking to take the title from him. Also, in the past two wins Aaron has not been able to secure the outright victory from the girls. Being beaten on handicap by Emma Moffat in 2013 and Ashleigh Gentle in 2014. With the handicap time being the shortest over the past two years Aaron has his best chance of taking this out in 2015.
Winning three times in a row has only been completed once in Nepean Triathlon’s 33 year history. That was Tim Bentley who had an amazing 5 in a row winning streak from 1992-1996. Nicholas Hornman has also won 3 times (2003, ’04, ’06).
